Shokin-do

This historic store, established in 1866, is renowned for its specialty, "Awayuki," a delightful confectionery that was named by Prince Ito Hirobumi. This fluffy treat melts in your mouth and is reminiscent of light snow. We will have the opportunity to create our own Japanese sweets.

Ganryujima

Familiar to anyone who has studied martial arts or has an interest in Japan, the name Miyamoto Musashi is synonymous with the greatest swordsman in samurai history. Ganryujima is an uninhabited island, covering approximately 103,000 m2 in the Kanmon Strait.

Kawatana Grand Hotel Otafuku

Offering traditional ryokan-style accommodations in Shimonoseki, this hotel provides an authentic Japanese experience. Renowned for its hot spring baths and welcoming hospitality, it caters to both leisure and business guests.

Kawatana Onsen Street

This quaint, historic hot spring town is situated in a tranquil rural area of Toyoura-cho, Shimonoseki City, in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Boasting a history of over 800 years, this "hidden gem" is celebrated for its high-quality, mineral-rich waters and a serene ambiance.

Karato Market

Recognized as a leading market for pufferfish (fugu), as well as sea bream and yellowtail, this vibrant and lively market provides visitors with a taste of local fishing culture.

Kanmon Pedestrian Tunnel

This remarkable 780-meter-long, two-tiered undersea tunnel links Honshu (Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi) and Kyushu (Moji, Fukuoka). Opened in 1958, it is part of National Route 2, enabling pedestrians and cyclists to traverse beneath the Kanmon Strait.

Mojiko (Moji Port)

A perfect spot for walking, photography, and immersing oneself in early 20th-century Japanese history.
