♫ HIS Special Summer Bus Tour is Here! ♫

Traveling to regional festival locations can often be congested and challenging on your own, but our convenient bus tour simplifies the experience! Sit back in a comfortable bus and enjoy a flawless trip to one of Japan's enchanting summer festivals.

★ What is the Tsuruga Lantern Floating & Grand Fireworks Festival? ★

Taking place in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture, this festival is a breathtaking summer custom set against the picturesque scenery of Kehi-no-Matsubara pine grove. As darkness descends, the ocean comes alive with thousands of floating lanterns, while an impressive fireworks display erupts overhead. It is a magnificent event where the sea and sky come together in a spectacular display of light and sound.

★ The Magical & Sacred World of "Lantern Floating" (To-ro Nagashi) ★

Lantern floating is a profoundly emotional Japanese tradition where paper lanterns, lit with candles, are set adrift in rivers or the sea to honor and guide the spirits of ancestors. It is traditionally believed that the spirits of the deceased ride these lanterns across the waters to return to the realm of spirits. The warm, flickering lights shining over the dark waters create an exceptionally mystical and tranquil ambiance.

Note: If you wish to set your own lantern afloat, they can be purchased on-site for around ¥1,000 (based on last year’s pricing). You can gently release your lantern into the sea directly from the sandy beach.

★ Feast on Fresh Seafood at "Nihonkai Sakana Machi"

Before the festival, the tour will make a stop at the largest seafood market along the Sea of Japan coast! This lively market boasts over 60 colorful shops operated by local Tsuruga fisheries, offering fresh catches, seafood rice bowls (Kaisen-don), sushi, and regional souvenirs.

Special Bonus: This tour includes a ¥1,500 dining and shopping voucher that can be used at any shop within the market! Savor a delightful lunch and shop for unique local treats before proceeding to the festival grounds.
