Upon reaching your destination, set off on an exhilarating hike along a 1.7km loop trail (approximately 1 hour). This route showcases the beauty of untamed nature, featuring delicate alpine plants such as Chinguruma (Aleutian avens), the famous Sugatami Pond—known for its mirror-like reflection of Mt. Asahidake on tranquil days—and the opportunity to observe unique local wildlife, including the charming Ezo Pika (northern pika).

• Cancellation & Route Changes

Weather Cancellation: The tour will be cancelled at departure if the Asahidake Ropeway is suspended due to strong winds or if the highway is closed, as we cannot guarantee sufficient sightseeing time.

In-Route Changes: If the ropeway is suspended after the tour has already departed, the itinerary will change to visit Shikisai-no-Oka and Farm Tomita. In this case, the ropeway fee will be refunded upon arrival back in Sapporo.

• Preparation & Gear

Footwear: While the trail to Sugatami Pond is maintained, please wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing. Trails can be slippery; please watch your step.

Cold Weather: From late September onwards, snow may be present at the summit. We strongly recommend bringing warm clothing to stay comfortable.

If the ropeway is unavailable after departure, the following schedule will apply:

11:45 – 12:30: Lunch at Asahidake (Hamburger Steak)

13:30 – 14:10: Shikisai-no-Oka (Flower fields)

14:40 – 15:10: Farm Tomita (Lavender/Flower farm)

18:16: Return to Sapporo Station
