The Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament season is here! This is an excellent chance to experience Japan's national sport in person. Join us for an exhilarating event and witness the strength of the wrestlers as they compete in the ring.

Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament (Ozumo Kyushu Basho)

Japan hosts six major Sumo tournaments annually, and the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament is one of them. Taking place in mid-November at the Fukuoka International Center, this event is conveniently located near the Tenjin and Hakata areas.

You will enjoy the Sumo matches from Masu-seat A. Discover your favorite Rikishi (wrestlers) while watching the tournament and cheer them on.

Please note that an assistant will be present at the meeting location to provide your tickets. It is important to arrive at the specified meeting point by 13:00.

Important Information

• Suitcases and other large pieces of luggage cannot be brought into the seating area. - Please store your luggage in advance at another location (e.g., coin lockers) or at your accommodation.
• Re-entry is allowed as many times as you like from the opening until 5:00 p.m.
• Eating and drinking are allowed in the seating area. Food and beverages will be sold at the concession stand. Please note that food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, Kindly purchase food and beverages at the concession stand inside the 1F.
• Lost admission tickets or exchange tickets will not be accepted. Re-issuance of tickets is not possible.
• Spectators are not allowed to watch the matches from seats other than their assigned ones.
• Please set your cell phone to silent mode and refrain from talking on it while in the audience.
• Please avoid obstructing the view of others when displaying cheering banners or towels.
• Throwing cushions is strictly prohibited as it may cause injury or other issues.
• Guests who arrive late for the meeting time will have their reservations canceled.

・Please kindly note that due to the traditional layout and seating structure of the sumo arena, adjacent seats or box areas may not be positioned in a perfectly straight line and may be slightly staggered or angled.

・Please note that specific seat locations or seat numbers cannot be chosen.

・Children up to 3 years of age may join but must sit on the lap of a parent or guardian during the event.

・Spectators in wheelchairs are not permitted.
