Kamikochi is positioned at an altitude of 1,500m, where the mountain weather can be quite variable. It is recommended to carry rain gear for any unexpected rain. Even during the summer months, temperatures may fall below 10°C, so having an additional layer is advisable. Comfortable shoes, like sneakers or trekking boots, are also suggested, as many paths are unpaved and have sloping terrain.
