Kamikochi is found at an elevation of 1,500m, where the weather in the mountains can change rapidly. It is recommended to carry rain gear for any sudden showers. Even in summer, temperatures may fall below 10°C, so an additional layer of clothing is advisable. Comfortable shoes, such as sneakers or trekking boots, are encouraged, as many paths are not paved and include inclined trails.
