The program details for this day will be added soon.
【Tanga Market】
Endearingly referred to as the "Kitchen of Kitakyushu," Tanga Market has a rich history spanning over 100 years. Situated in the center of Kokura, this vibrant arcade features approximately 100 shops that offer a variety of fresh seafood, vegetables, meats, and traditional side dishes.
【Sorameshi: DIY Rice Bowl】
This experience is a culinary treasure hunt. You begin with a simple bowl of warm white rice, serving as your blank canvas as you explore Tanga Market. Fill your bowl with fresh tuna from a fishmonger, crispy tempura, and succulent karaage (fried chicken). Next, enhance your creation with the market's renowned nukamiso-daki (a local dish consisting of fish gently simmered in fermented rice bran for a rich umami flavor), the signature Tanga canape (savory minced fish paste encased in crispy deep-fried bread), and fragrant smoked salmon from Ibushiya. You’ll craft your own unique rice bowl step by step!
