Tour Description
Explore the sacred landscapes of the Kumano region, which is home to some of Japan's most cherished UNESCO World Heritage sites. Your adventure begins at Onigajo, a stunning coastline shaped by powerful waves and ancient earthquakes, resulting in impressive sea caves and rugged rock formations developed over millennia.
Next, journey to the most renowned part of the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route, commencing at the charming Daimonzaka. Stroll along its enchanting moss-covered stone path, sheltered by towering cedar trees, leading you to the hallowed Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine and the adjacent Seiganto-ji Temple, where rich Shinto and Buddhist traditions harmoniously blend.
The day's highlight is the awe-inspiring Nachi Falls, recognized as Japan's tallest single-drop waterfall, plunging 133 meters. Esteemed as a sacred object of worship, this waterfall presents an unforgettable fusion of natural splendor and spiritual meaning.
Throughout the tour, savor a delightful Saisai Bento lunch, crafted with thoughtfully chosen local ingredients, paired with tea.
