What Makes Gujo Odori Unique?

A Sacred 400-Year Tradition: This festival began during the Edo period with the aim of uniting people from various social backgrounds, and it has been upheld for more than four centuries. Its cultural importance has earned it recognition as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The Magic of the Live Performance: Experience music that is entirely live. Musicians perform from a raised wooden tower (Yagura) situated in the midst of the crowd, utilizing traditional flutes, shamisen, and drums. The rhythm evolves throughout the night, creating an enchanting tempo that keeps your spirits elevated for hours.

The Climax of the All-Night Dance: As dawn approaches at approximately 4:30 AM, the mountains start to emerge in the morning glow. The music reaches its zenith, and a sacred, collective energy envelops the atmosphere. This captivating transition from night to day is the highlight of the tour.

Ultimate Post-Dance Recovery: Tenku SPA HILLS

After an intense night of dancing, your body will yearn for some relaxation. We will take you directly to Tenku SPA HILLS Ryusenji no Yu, a top-tier hot spring resort located near Nagoya.

Healing Carbonated Baths: The high-concentration carbonated water enhances blood circulation, effectively alleviating lactic acid buildup and stiffness in your legs from a night of revelry.

Powerful Hydro-Jets: Experience relief from muscle tension in your calves and lower back through deep-tissue jet streams.
