Sakurai Futamigaura
Be amazed by the stunning sight of a white Torii gate set against the blue ocean, which frames two towering sacred rocks connected by a traditional straw rope (Shimenawa). This site, known as the "Couples Rock," symbolizes love and good fortune.
Ichiran no Mori Itoshima
This extensive facility features a museum, a ramen factory, and a restaurant. You can observe through glass windows how the renowned noodles are produced, discover the history of Tonkotsu ramen, and savor a steaming bowl of fresh ramen at the on-site restaurant.
Forest Cafe "Midori no Uta"
Step away from the coastal breeze and immerse yourself in the peaceful woods. "Midori no Uta," meaning "Poetry of Green," is a charming cafe with wooden decks surrounding tall trees. It’s an ideal spot to inhale the fresh forest air while enjoying premium coffee, matcha, or seasonal sweets.
Mataichi no Shio
Observe local artisans as they extract pure sea salt from the ocean using a large, traditional bamboo tower structure. Situated right on the rocky coast, this rustic wooden workshop is renowned for its "Shio Pudding" (Salt Pudding), a creamy, sweet custard topped with crunchy, handmade sea salt and olive oil.
Totoro Forest
This magical trail is nestled near the grand coastal cliff of Keya no Oto and is lined with closely intertwined evergreen oak trees. Walking through it feels like stepping into the secret tree tunnel from a beloved Japanese Anime. A brief hike leads to an observation deck offering a panoramic view of the Genkai Sea.
