Tour Description

Your journey begins with a departure from your hotel located within Tokyo's 23 wards. As you travel, you'll experience the vastness of Tokyo, moving away from the bustling skyscraper district through extensive residential neighborhoods, and eventually finding yourself amidst lush green mountains.

The first stop on your itinerary (note that the order of visits may vary for operational reasons) is the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji, situated at an altitude of 2300 m. You'll reach this point by navigating the scenic Subaru Line Panoramic Road. If the weather is favorable, you will have the opportunity to admire the surrounding landscape and possibly glimpse the summit of this revered mountain!

Following your visit, you'll have the chance to enjoy lunch (meals are not included in the "basic" plan, allowing you to choose and pay for your preferred option) at a restaurant suggested by your guide after consulting with you. Alternatively, you may opt for the Lunch Package, and we will handle the arrangements for you.

Your adventure continues to the Ōwakudani Volcanic Area, a site characterized by secondary volcanic activity that highlights Japan's volcanic nature. You will see fumaroles and sulfataras in all directions. Here, you can also sample "kurotamago" (black eggs boiled in sulfur water)!

After your exploration of Ōwakudani, you will take the Hakone Ropeway down to Ashi Lake, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surroundings. The included cruise across Lake Ashi allows you to appreciate the scenery from both above and the water.

Finally, you will return to your hotel by car.

• If the weather is unfavorable or excessively humid, visibility of Mount Fuji may be compromised or completely obstructed. Please note that we do not offer refunds in such instances.
• If the Hakone Ropeway and the Hakone Pirate Ship cannot operate due to unforeseen circumstances, the tour will be redirected to one of the following alternative locations: Hakone Komagatake Ropeway, Hakone Lake Ashi Boat Cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Mishima Skywalk, Odawara Castle, Hakone Venetian Glass Museum, Hakone-en Aquarium, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Hakone Shrine, among others. The tour will proceed as scheduled, and no refunds will be issued for this reason.

Important Information

• As required by Japanese law, please wear a seat belt on the bus.
• Please note that the arrival location of the tour cannot be changed.
• Due to bad weather, Mount Fuji may not be visible even from the base. Please note that the tour cannot be cancelled or refunded for this reason.
• The order of visits on the itinerary may be changed.
• In case of traffic congestion or other uncontrollable reasons, please note that the schedule may be changed or time shortened at any of the sightseeing spots.
• As it may be cold in the mountains, please bring warm clothes.
• If the arrival time to Tokyo is delayed due to traffic or other reasons, we will not be responsible for taxi fares, overnight accommodations or other expenses.

Purchase Notice

• If the Fuji Subaru Line is closed, we will visit Oshino Hakkai Village, Arakura Sengen Shrine, or Fujisan World Heritage Center.

Also, due to traffic conditions and timing, some of our stops may be skipped altogether. However, we will try to adhere to the scheduled itinerary as much as possible. As a general rule, we do not provide partial refunds in these cases.

• The Hakone Ropeway and the Hakone Pirate Ship on Lake Ashi may not operate due to various reasons. We may visit an alternative location (also to keep the schedule on days with heavy traffic) such as Lake Kawaguchi (cruise), Hakone Komagatake Ropeway, Lake Ashi Boat Cruise, Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Checkpoint, Hakone Shrine, etc.
• Depending on weather conditions (such as high humidity, heavy rain, fog), Mt. Fuji may not be visible.
• Please note that no refunds will be given for weather-related complaints or changes to the tour schedule made by the tour guide or any of our staff.
• In case of severe weather or traffic congestion and if the car cannot pass through the road to Mt. Fuji 5th Station, the tour will visit Oshino Hakkai, Fujisan World Heritage Center, Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park or Lake Yamanakako Hana no Miyako Park. Please note that an alternative route may be omitted depending on road conditions.
• Children are counted as one person regardless of age.
• About Lunch plans:

>- Lunch inclusion: Meals are not included in the price of the basic packages. Choose what you like and pay directly at the restaurant (the guide's meal is usually covered if you choose a standard budget restaurant (under 2000 yen)). However, if you would like to eat in a more upmarket restaurant, please bear this in mind if you would like your guide to sit with you.

>- In the same way, the Lunch add-on covers a budget of around 2000 yen per person (plus 500 yen of arrangement fees per person, included at the time of the payment) (drinks excluded), so the venue will be chosen, and paid by the guide from a list of different options you can choose from, depending on the time of lunch and the area you are visiting at that time.
