Tour Options are...
1. Must-see Spots of Kagawa
Mt.Yashima
This mountain, shaped like a roof and located near Takamatsu, is favored for its stunning views and is a popular site for nighttime photography. From the peak, you can gaze over the city and the numerous islands in the Seto Inland Sea.
Kotohira-gu Shrine
Known affectionately as Konpira-san, Kotohira-gu Shrine holds a special place in Japanese culture. Among the many Kotohira and Konpira shrines throughout Japan, this one is the most significant. Pilgrims ascend 785 stone steps to reach the main hall, or 1,368 steps to pray at the inner shrine.
Ritsurin Garden
Ritsurin Garden is recognized as the largest cultural treasure garden in Japan to be granted the status of a Special Place of Scenic Beauty. Here, you can admire a thousand beautiful pine trees and experience landscapes that transform with the seasons—witness cherry blossoms in spring or vibrant foliage in autumn.
Takamatsu Marugamemachi Shopping Street
The Central Takamatsu Shopping Arcades comprise a collection of eight interconnected shopping streets found in the heart of Takamatsu. This extensive network, which stretches in all directions and is largely covered, is the largest in Japan, spanning a total of 2.8 km. Explore shopping and food options available at around 1,000 different stores as you stroll through the arcades.
2. Photogenic Spots of Kagawa
Unpenji Ropeway
Unpenji Temple (Geikyuzan Senjuin Unpenji Temple), the 66th temple on the pilgrimage route, boasts a 1,200-year history, featuring the principal image, the "Senju Kannon Bosatsu (Thousand-armed Goddess of Mercy)." Recently, Unpenji Summit Park, which offers a sweeping view of the Seto Inland Sea, has become a trendy photo destination, featuring attractions like the "swing in the sky."
Takaya Shrine
The Takayajinja Shrine in Kan-onji has been held in high regard for many years. From the main shrine situated at 404 meters, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the prefecture and the scenic Seto Inland Sea simultaneously. The Skyview Torii Gate at the main shrine has been recognized as one of Shikoku’s 88 Views for its picturesque outlook.
Chichibugahama Beach
Chichibugama Beach has recently become a favored spot for photography, known for its reflective views of the sky. Recognized among Japan's Top 100 Sunsets, the sight of the sun setting over the Seto Inland Sea is not to be missed.
