【Rengein Tanjoji Okunoin Temple】

Recognized as one of Kyushu’s leading spiritual power locations, this temple provides an inspiring experience. At its heart lies the "Flying Dragon Bell," a massive temple bell that weighs close to 40 tons. Experience the strong, purifying vibrations as you engage in a bell-ringing prayer aimed at attracting good fortune and success. The temple grounds also showcase an impressive five-story pure wooden pagoda—an extraordinary example of traditional Japanese architecture that enhances your social media posts throughout the year. Seeking love? Be sure to discover the hidden treasure: the "Enmusubi" (Matchmaking) Bell. A gentle ring will allow you to pray for meaningful relationships and romance!

【Mizumoto Orange Garden】

Located in Tensui-machi, Tamana City, this historic 140-year-old orchard stands as a testament to Japan's agricultural commitment. Operating entirely without herbicides, the farm emphasizes the natural ecosystem, using mineral-rich soil and clean air to cultivate its fruits. The quality of these mandarin oranges is so exceptional that they were once gifted to the Japanese Imperial Family. Wander through the delightful orchard and savor the pure, natural sweetness directly from the tree.

【Tamana Ramen】

No visit to Tamana is complete without indulging in its quintessential soul food! Widely accepted as the historic origin of the renowned "Kumamoto Ramen," Tamana Ramen features a rich, slow-cooked pork bone (tonkotsu) broth accompanied by smooth, medium-thin noodles. The secret ingredient? A generous dusting of aromatic roasted garlic flakes added right at your table. Sampling this legendary, authentically local dish is sure to be a memorable highlight of your journey.

【Yachiyoza Theater】

Constructed in 1910 and recognized as a National Important Cultural Property, Yachiyoza is an extraordinary historic wooden theater. It meticulously maintains the traditional Edo-period Kabuki stage mechanics, including a manual revolving stage, the hanamichi (flower path), and classic masu box seating. Look up to admire the stunning ceiling adorned with colorful vintage advertisements and Western-style brass chandeliers. Entering this theater feels like stepping back in time to the glamorous Meiji and Taisho eras—the ideal setting for cinematic, vintage-style photography.

Highlights
