Japanese Umbrella-Wagasa

Traditional Japanese umbrellas are crafted entirely from natural materials such as bamboo, Japanese paper (washi), and wood. They are renowned for their aesthetic appeal, resilience, and profound ties to Japanese culture.

Premium Experience Wagasa Making (120 mins)

Engage in the art of creating your personal wagasa using the techniques employed by skilled artisans. You will select your preferred washi paper and attempt to apply it to the umbrella structure. After your workshop, artisans will carry out the drying, lacquering, and finishing phases, which take one to two months to complete.

Once your umbrella is ready, it will be dispatched to your chosen address within Japan or internationally. For international shipping, we utilize EMS, with delivery typically occurring within one week. Please be aware that delivery times may vary based on the destination country or region, and additional costs might be incurred.

※Shipping costs are not included in the tour price (to be paid locally).
